Skiing at Kitzsteinhorn, Maiskogel and Lechnerberg
Hardly any other ski area is as diverse and varied as the Kitzsteinhorn with its surrounding mountains. Numerous perfectly groomed pistes, slopes, snowparks, modern cable cars and gondolas as well as the culinary delights in the many huts make skiing here a great experience.
The Maiskogel and Lechnerberg are popular with beginners, families and skiers who prefer a slower pace. The (first) turns on the skis are easy on the comfortable slopes. Thanks to the direct connection to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier from 2019, the Maiskogel is not only the perfect skiing area for beginners, but also for all those who want to dare the challenge of a glacier. The new mountain railway will take you from Maiskogel to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier. Back in the valley, you can comfortably store your ski equipment in our depot boxes at the Maiskogel valley station.
Experienced skiers will find a special skiing experience at the Kitzsteinhorn: natural snow, 100% snow guarantee, kilometres of downhill runs and an incomparable view make their skiing holiday perfect. An absolute highlight at the Kitzsteinhorn - besides the many slopes, freeride zones and fun parks - is definitely the "Black Mamba": This slope with a length of one kilometre and a maximum gradient of 63 percent is just right for all those who are looking for a special house challenge when skiing.

A highlight is the ride with the gondola to the 3000 summit world at an altitude of 3,000 metres. The view from the two panorama platforms is breathtaking and can hardly be put into words.
